Road Sense for Safety

In Lahore over seventy wardens of City Traffic Police representing all zones and circles had gathered at a beautiful hall for a day long training on Road Safety by Amjad Faizi of Institute of Safety & Human Factors - Karachi through the courtesy of Indus Motors Ltd. Venue was decorated with colorful safety awareness messages through banners of Toyota and "Road Safety" campaign of Indus Motors.

Proceedings of first session began with recitation of verses from Holy Quran, Singing of National Anthem and a welcome address by City Traffic Officer. Shakil Mirza in his address emphasized the need of training, advised participants to make best use of this training and learn these techniques & details for performing better. Commander Asif Khawaja as organizer of this activity thanked Chief Guest and presented details about training programme.

First lecture by Amjad Faizi covered all aspects of road sense and through videos and slides explained this vital factor to all participants emphasizing that road safety emerges from road sense and not vice versa. Statistics of roads and accidents of Pakistan with their comparison to region & world were also presented for explaining to wardens their role in reducing the same to save lives.

Lectures on public dealing, driving techniques, right of way and testing for licensing were delivered in the following sessions and components of each were explained in detail through demonstrations and examples. Inter active discussions gave participants an opportunity to clarify their doubts and understand the logics and "why" of these subjects to perform better.

Closing session guests included few officers from NH&MP, Citizen of Lahore, reps from Indus Motors and DIGs Sarmad and Ghalib A Bandesha of Police. Four participants expressed their views on this day long activity and expressed their desire of more of such courses on regular basis. DIG Sarmad shared his ongoing works towards police training while DIG Ghalib as first head of CTP explained his vision and step proposed to make this force the best of all in the province. Usman Qazi of Indus Motors briefed the participants about importance given by his company to road safety and their works in line with their motto of "Concern Beyond Cars".

CTO Lahore thanked Indus Motors for their support, Asif Khawaja & Amjad Faizi and his team for the training and guests for participating in the event. He and the distinguished Guests then distributed certificates to the participants and shields to organisers and sponsors. Activity was well covered by electronic and print media especially City 42 TV Channel and FM 88.8 of CTP.

As a follow up of this activity meeting was held with the board of RASTA to discuss ways of promoting Road Sense awareness amongst road users representing all walks of life.

Second activity at Lahore was two (2) hour long training session with the RJs of FM 88.8 for educating them on ways to promote road sense during their programmes.
Meeting with the DIG Central of NH&MP at the office of Commandant of Driving Training School led to the third (3) activity of half day training workshop with the instructors of the school at their Sheikhpura Complex on M- 2. Road sense awareness and inclusion of the same in all courses being conducted by them was the main theme of this activity

These activities were just the beginning of promoting road sense awareness at Lahore and many more such activities are expected in near future.

Hinopak: Parts Service Conference 2009

Hinopak Parts & Service Dealers' Conference 2009 held at Hinopak recently. The main objective of the conference was to review the yearly performance of Hinopak's dealers.

The conference was attended by senior management of Hinopak, all authorized 1S, 2S, 3S Dealers and representatives of Area offices. A. Harigaya, Deputy General Manager, West-Aisa Group, Middle-East Euro of African Division, Hino Motors Ltd., Japan also attended the event.

Hideya Iijima, MD & CEO Hinopak inaugurated the conference and assured the dealers for full support of Hinopak and requested all dealers for their suggestions and regular feedback.

Takeshi Ito, DMD, Hinopak said in his address that our dealers are the backbone of our company. He assured all the dealers of Hinopak's fullest support to achieve customers' satisfaction.

S. Arshad Ali, General Manager Product Support briefly highlighted the objective of the conference. He also explained various after sales activities to dealers and requested them to recognized out-standing services by front line staff.

Muhammad Irfan Shaikh, Director Sales & Marketing, Hinopak Motors said we owe the success and achievement of our aim of "Total Customer Satisfaction" to all members of the Hino family he also added that hard work and commitment with their job will make dealers' facility more profitable and build a good reputation among transporters and makes the Hino Brand No. 1 all over Pakistan.

Presentations were made by PSD on various topics in which they highlighted "How to promote the dealership activities and make the Hino Customer Satisfied". The dealership performance awards for year 2009 distributed to top 3 position holders of Service and parts activities.

Plum Qingqi Motors Ltd: Recreational Tour & Annual Sales Meeting

As a part of company's policy to encourage, motivate and entertain its sales force, PQM sales and marketing group organized 5days recreational trip along with annual sales meeting for its sales and marketing team.

Team started journey including sales, marketing and after sales services staff on 15th July,2009 afternoon from Qingqi plant Lahore through motorway.

Having dinner at Hassan Abdal, Traveling through Haripur, Abbotabad and Mansahera, first stay was in Balakot which is the gateway of Kaghan valley on tremendous Kuhnar River bank.

Next day after sight seeing in Balakot, team proceeded to famous hill point "SAARI PAYA" through SHOGRAN. "SAARI PAYA" is the most beautiful place at 9500 feet height from where the "MALIKA PARBAT" is viewed. Night stay was in Shogran which is at 7750 feet height and a busy tourist point with rich natural sceneries.

Next day annual meeting was held at famous hotel in SHOGRAN which was chaired by Qasim Malik (GM Sales & Marketing). In this meeting Imran Warriach (NSM) presented the last year (2008-2009) sales performance and sales plan for year 2009-2010.

During annual sales meeting every sales incharge presented his pervious performance and next year business development plan while sales staffs with top performance in 2008-2009 were awarded with precious gifts. Award wining team members were Ahmad Bhatti from North region, Suhail Rafique from Faisalabad region, Ibrar from Multan region and Asad Bashir from South region. In the afternoon team left for NARAN and had night stay in the glaciers of this beautiful valley which is at 8200 feet height. Huge numbers of tourist were present in Naran. While town was packed with nature lovers from whole country, team traveled to surrounding of Naran valley for sight seeing especially to "LALLU SAR LAKE", "LALA ZAR" and "LAKE SAIF-UL-MALOOK" which is 10500 feet above the sea level.

Team enjoyed the jeep traveling to those off roads, mountainous valleys and spent full day for sight seeing. Finally on 19th July team traveled back to Lahore with fresh minds and peak level of motivation to work hard for achievements of sales targets in year 2009-2010.

Metro Motorcycles for Sindh Police

Rauf Siddiqui, Provincial Minister for Industries handed over the keys 30 units of Metro Motorcycles MR-70cc to DIG Karachi and SSP S.I.T.E, at a ceremony hosted by SITE Association of Industry at its head office on 14th July 2009.

Metro Motorbike Company delivered these Motorcycles to SITE Police Station for patrolling purposes and safety of the industrial area on behalf of SITE Association of Industry.

M.A. Jabbar, Chairman SITE Association appreciated the role being played by Metro Motorbike Company for Sindh Police. He praised Metro Motorcycle for its performance, durability and hoped for sustainable business relationship in years to come.
